Musketeers

Children often have a very different idea of what fencing is. Very few children approach a fencing club wanting to be National champions, most want to be Musketeers, Pirates or Jedi. Here at Chevaliers we teach them the skills of the game, the goals of fair play and at the same time try to maintain their imagination and enthusiasm. Daily exercise is an important part of any developing child's routine and Chevaliers adheres to the principals established in the Australian Governments Play for Life guidelines.

Classes

Tuesday 6pm until 7.30pm
Friday 5pm until 6pm

Musketeer fencing begins with a series of imaginative activities that encapsulate the child's idea of the game and at the same time reinforce key elements of the game of fencing. After all, learning should be fun!!

A solid foundation for competitive fencing is created through a series of skill progressions. Chevaliers offers a Musketeer certificate program that monitors the progression of the student through these skills and rewards them as they reach key developmental goals.

As the students develop in age and experience they are challenged with new levels of performance and tactical application through the Chevaliers Bronze Silver and Gold Awards.

This is done by dividing the students into smaller groups based on age and experience. Within these groups they will be challenged at appropriate levels whilst working one on one with a member of our qualified coaching staff.
